nursing home in the making poor food poor service poor managment poor decor poor staff poor allround freezing cold and badly run watch out for the resident dog who scrounges for your meal oh and the land lady if you can call her that shes down the bingo hall so no use complaining to her complete disaster

this pub has been my local for 25 years roy and dawn rate as one of the best couples we have had managing this very special place for many years.roy has battled with health problems over the last three years very quietly unassuming and with a diplomcy that sets him out as an all round good bloke. As a couple they have always been most welcoming and his food is second to none.In an era where running a pub is so much about food this couple have never lost the balance between people eating and their regular drinkers.I am very proud to call this pub my local and would recomend anybody to join the happy club that is the white horse.
what is the locals problems here in this area moans and groans about the bacton bull,the trowel and hammer,the white horse etc.. firstly i have been a landlord for 10 years and are based in stowmarket, you are lucky to still have three pubs operating in a small area.. i have been to all these pubs and of course they are not all perfect all the time!! but when you work 16 hour days 7 days a week you can let the odd thing slip that is human nature! my opinon bacton bull give a chance, finningham white horse good pub, cotton trowel and hammer not bad but seems to have a very stupid chef making false reviews about other local pubs from what i have read (who do you think youre kidding?) anyway rant over enjoy your local dont rubbish it...
Nothing wrong with the White Horse, very nice pub, nice food, ale and locals.
